Stuck at default version of the Sims 3

Due to some computer problems, I recently uninstalled my Sims 3 base game, along with all my expansions. I then reinstalled the base game via downloading from Origin. Now I am having trouble installing updates/patches. Everytime I download an update, a window pops up saying it can't detect the correct game region, and so is unable to install. My current game version is 1.0.631.00107.

     I tried. No dice. Do you know if there is a way to access the update for my current version, and maybe work my way up to the latest version? Is that possible?

    The super patch doesn't care about your region or what version you are currently on.

    What's your Operating system  ? Do you have the disc or download version ? Origin or Steam ?

    You did download the 1.4 GB one, right ?
