@mandaXmassacre, casualangst: Since it's more of an existing issue, I won't add for now. Does it not correct itself for you ? Have you tried manually re-changing all cloth categories ?
@thisxbitterheart: Did you clean the registry when you wiped it ? Here's some info on the issue: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/03/error-there-was-an-error-during-startup.html. Making a new post is fine. Only edit if I've already added you to the first post and you need to add the questions or if I haven't answered. Also make a new post though. I'm not going back in the thread.
@Svengo42: Freezing: Try resetting all sims with resetsim *. I'll add your CAS issue. Your processor strikes me as rather low. Is it an i3, i5 or i7 or a dual ? 2.0 ghz are below the specs of 2.4 ghz although that would be just a single processor.
@Dawnmccarthy: You mean for those people that loose the ability to do so after a while ? Thanks for that info. I'll add to the first post

@creativegal16: Only solution as of yet is using a mod. Overwatch can solve the issue
