supposedly don't own the game I paid for and have owned for years?

I recently tried to update sims 3 only to be told I couldn't for whatever reason so I installed it with the intention of installing it again to see if that would fix it but when I did that I got a pop up saying I don't own the game and that I need to "go to game hub and get the game" despite the game being in my library so it's actually virtually impossible for me to purchase it, I've tried doing app recovery, deleting and reinstalling the ea app and restarting the ea app and nothing is working.
