System requirements for all the expansions patch

Hi, my name is Jéssica, my question is about a possible installation. My notebook don't have all the basics  system requirements to play The Sims 3, but still runs perfectly as well with Seasons expansion patch. I also want to buy University Life, Ambitions, Paradise Island, World Adventures, but I don't know if my notebook can handle it too. I heard that if the system can run the base game also runs all expansions with it, is that true? I know this's a kind of stupid question, but I don't expected to my sistem run Season fine, so... I get in a doubt. I don't want buy it and can't play with it.

@JessPalhares If the base game can run on your computer, The expansions should also since there isn't much spec changes throught dlc contents in games. You can always check the requirements here http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

  • Hi @JessPalhares

    This isnt exactly true

While EA did in fact did not change the specs, they do in practice go up if you install many expansion packs.

So while a certain expansion may not increase them, if you have them all, you do need a better computer than if you only have the base game.

Also pets and seasons are more demanding then others.

To make sure it runs, it's best if you posted your DxDiag

To gather a DxDiag on your computer, please follow the steps here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/HOW-TO-DxDiag-for-Sims-3-PC-Only/td-p/1049584/

  • @crinrict I'm glad for your tip, unfortunately I can't check now 'cause my notebook broke yesterday :manfrustrated: Once is it fixed up I'll do that, thanks!
