Taking forever to save/won't save

I read a few other posts about this issue but it is not giving me an error, the circle just keeps spinning endlessly until I get frustrated and alt+ctrl+delete and close it.  I own every EP except S...

    Your CPU is below minimum specs and your graphics drivers need an update (yours are from 2011).

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714/

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    Try on a new game without any custom content added to see if it works, if it does, you probably need to cut down even more on CC.

    So far so good. I guess I'll have to keep doing that every so often. I might've deleted all my games & CC....but that's okay, it was making it ridiciulosuly laggy anyway.
