1.50 is not really the problem. 1.48 is (or maybe even 1.47) cause that is missing a file.
I really wished people would read before posting. The renaming folder (or factory reset as I call it) is always the best option. I've given up to tell people to remove their mods because I've heard so many times: But I don't have any.
Renaming the user folder takes care of removing the mods without them even noticing it :)
I think Bearcameron case is special. Most of the time, messed up registry entries are because they have registry left overs of EPs they have uninstalled.
I don't know how good Revo Uninstaller is. Never used it. CCleaner does seem to miss stuff from time to time, especially if whole EPs are left over in the registry.
EDIT: But I think this thread is the best thing ever cause it gives us a chance to talk to each other and see what can be done to help
