Thank you ewilson, I did that when I initially bought the laptop. But this didn't work. It was still using the intel card, and the pc was running hot fairly quickly after running the game and then crashed after 30 minutes to an hour of gameplay. The error reports read that it was a memory kernel issues and caused windows to crash.
After installing the GeForce program provided by the manufacturer of the card and running the game through it, I had no more issues, and the fan is running on the GeForce card, keeping it cool.
I don't know why my particular laptop and video card needed the other program to ensure the game was utilizing the right graphics card, I just know this was the situation in my case. Again, the Nvidia site was more helpful than the ea/origin was. I didn't even think to go to NVidia's site. That was all my hubby. I assumed EA would know how to fix this issue. :roll: Won't make that mistake again.
