Teen Sim Can't Get a Part-Time Job

Hello. Basically the issue I've been having is that my teen sim can't get a part-time job. If I go directly to the place and try to apply, they immediately get kicked out and don't get the job. If I apply using the newspaper then they don't get the job and if I go to map view the only icon I can see (regardless of what filters I have on) is the marker for the location I've tried to apply at. There are no options when I click on it and every sim in the household can only see this in map view.

I have tried this with multiple part-time jobs with no luck. I've tried to get the part-time job in the film career and the one at the grocery store in person and the spa receptionist one in the newspaper.

Other info that may or may not be important, idk:

• I have every single expansion and stuff pack installed, but none of the store worlds
• I have no mods and no CC (including no CC from the store)
• This game file is in Bridgeport
• My teen is a vampire with two vampire parents, and is a three-star celebrity
• I have tried restarting the game. This makes all the map icons show again, but still won't let my teen get a job
• A different teen in the household has a part time job with no issues and the parents both have full time ones (well, the mom has a profession), however they got these jobs on different days
• At first I thought the problem was because my teen was in an after school activity so I quit that and still no luck
• I haven't tried evicting the household, but I can try that next to see if that fixes it and I'll update this when I do
• I also haven't tried a new world to see if that fixes it, which I'll also try soon and then update this

The thing I think caused the issue was that my teen used the newspaper to get a part-time job right when a new newspaper was brought to the house.

Anyways, thanks for reading and I hope there's a fix. Like I said I'll update this when I test those two other things, but I just wanted to see if anyone knew of a possible solution first.

Edit: Evicting the household didn't fix it, but starting a new save file did. I'd still love to be able to fix this without starting a new save file though, because I obviously don't want to lose my progress, but for the time being I guess I'll start a new game lol
