The Complete Castle Collection-Multiple Floors

While I went through the forums and was able to find an answer on how to place the walls in a way that actually forms walls, it still does not let me build a second floor on top of the walls already ...

what i  do is this place columns to get my floor laid then use ctrl+F for a  quarter tile and place 2  ctrl+F to go back to full tile (and remove the columns)
