The Game won't launch

After clicking play in the launcher all I get is a black screen before it closes and spits out a xcpt file in my The Sims 3 folder. I have tried every single solution that I could find online and have taken out every single mod/CC/lot/save and reshade and I still can't get the game to launch. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled it twice and still nothing. The game worked fine 2 days ago and I have a really nice brand new gaming laptop. I don't know if it's something wrong with my laptop or if it's the fault of EA App. I would hate to have wasted my money on a game that I can't even play

  • LiaKnow  Downloads shouldn't be considered a system folder, and neither should Documents or the desktop.  It's very strange that you're seeing this error with the driver installer in any of these locations.

Are you trying to run the installer.exe inside the extracted folder?  I just want to make sure.

If that's not the issue, to force-install the driver, click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, expand Display Adapters, right-click the Intel graphics chip, choose Update Driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick > Have disk, choose the extracted driver, and select the Graphics folder, at which point the Device Manager should suggest an .inf file.  If it doesn't do so automatically, you're looking for iigd_dch.inf.  Select the file and let the Device Manager install it, then restart your computer when it's done.
