The Sims™ 3 Riverview not registering as installed?

Cheers all,

So I've been having some trouble getting the Riverview free world for The Sims™ 3 to properly install, and by properly I mean install at all. I'll send some screenshots of what I'm looking at in the launcher, in the game, and in the files. For a quick overview, I go to the website to download riverview (https://store.thesims3.com/riverview) from the store. I sign in and click download. It automatically opens my launcher through Origin and it downloads it. It places the "Riverview" The Sims™ 3 Custom Content file in the "Downloads" folder of The Sims™ 3 folder within my Electronic Arts folder, which is stored in the "Documents" section of my computer. Upon, via launcher, ticking the checkbox and clicking install, it opens a small install window, which upon completion says it was a successful download and places the "Riverview.world" file in the "InstalledWorlds" folder of The Sims™ 3 folder within my Electronic Arts folder. At this point, it also appears in the "Installed Content" tab of the launcher. I launch my game, let it load completely, and go to select the Riverview region. However, it does not show up on the list of regions at all. The only ones I see are Sunset Valley and three other regions I do not own (Sunlit Tides, Midnight Hollow and Hidden Springs) with a prompt to be able to purchase these from the store. I click the three small dots in the bottom left corner and open my downloads dashboard. I click the "Install Now" button on the dashboard, and it open the launcher then closes it, and my notifications box that comes with Windows 10 informs me that the launcher is running in the tray. Then, the dashboard begins the install, and it says "Downloading... [_]%" depending on where it is in said download. Once it finishes this download it says "Installed" with a little checked checkbox next to it. I close the dashboard and the three pop-up alerts, one of which says "Your purchased world is now installed. You may select this world on the main menu." However, when I click the drop-down menu, it still does not show up in the list. I re-open the downloads dashboard and, according to it, the region has yet to even be installed, prompting me with that same "Install Now" button. So far, no amount of re-installs, game re-starts and game re-downloads has fixed the issue.

Yesterday, I was on the line with EA Support, and the only real "fix" I was given for the issue was that "There must be any background process is conflicting with the game process. You need to perform Clean Boot." The link I was provided did not tell me how to perform it and I had to ask for the steps. Once I did all but the last step, I asked how I could get back in contact with that operator in particular if it didn't work, and got computer-generated responses that didn't answer my question at all, which happened a few times throughout the conversation (I was offered a 15% off coupon for a free DLC item :/). Needless to say, this "Clean Boot" did not fix or change the issue I was having at all, so I come here.

If anyone requires any information that I did not provide in this description or the attached files did not provide, please do not hesitate to ask for it, as I am very Prudent toward getting this working.

@Tr1n1tyGAM3  Is your computer a pc or mac? What is the version of your game - launcher lower left? does your game appear in Origin?

I don't remember the exact number, however I updated it yesterday and the launcher was in version 1.69.... etc. etc. I run a PC with Windows 10 and it does appear under this account on Origin.

Yes, i completely uninstalled and re-installed it after it updated, to make sure it was not an issue with the version I was running it on (I was running it on 1.67 before, as I bought it via steam and that launcher is out of date), however it continued to give me the same issue.

@Tr1n1tyGAM3  Did you delete the download and redownload Riverview? Many (all?) store items were updated for version 1.69. You need to uninstall Riverview, delete it from the downloads tab, redownload riverview, install new download. If this doesn't work you may have another store item (world?) that needs to be updated. When I reinstalled my game recently I had to delete all my store items and redownload them from the store so they would remain in the game and not disappear the next time I started the game.  hth
