The Sims 3: Can't reset sim

Help!! My Sim has a normal name and is currently stuck riding an invisible horse therefore is unable to do anything except glitch.  I have tried the ResetSim Firstname Lastname cheat code as a last resort and it worked to reset the glitching horse but my actual Sim when reset  still glitches.... How do I fix this???
