The code is redeemed here: https://store.thesims3.com/myAccount.html (where it says, redeem a code)

Then it should be in your purchase history here to download: https://store.thesims3.com/purchaseHistory.html

The "code already used" message means the game code has been registered on the Origin account that was initially used to register the game. When the game is activated, it will show up in that accounts "My Games" folder.
