The sims 3, grey screen?

Hi, I am playing the sims 3 pets. One day a grey screen appeared and I got scared and I saved and closed the game. 2 weeks later i wanted to play the sims again, I forgot that the screen was grey. Now...

Yes, I only have the problem on the sims. I took a picture of a horse jumping when the grey screen appeared. I was playing the game when it happened.

Do you have a backup of your save ? What happens if you start a new game for testing purposes ? Is that grey as well ?

    No i don't have backup file, if I start a new game it works fine and the screen is normal. The game with grey screen is my favorite family ☹️

      Is your family saved to your library from some state ? So you could start over with them at least ?

      I don't think there's much that can be done to save the game. Seems like taking the picture corrupted it.
