The Sims 3 Into the Future - Sims stuck in the future

ok , there are a couple of things you can try

first launch your game and use the save as give the game a new name this will keep your orignal save as it is untouched and with the save as new name is where you can try the following

1  then try the edit town save a copy of the family to the library  and start a new game to see if all is well with them

2   try in  edit town save a copy of the family to the library  and  in the top left will be your family like a  clipboard image  delete that then place the saved copy of the family from the library back into the lot  

3 from edit town switch to a new family then back to game save as new name then back to edit town click on your family lot that they live in and save a copy of them to the library

4 in your the electronicsarts/thesims/saves folder find your saved game with whatever name you gave it and the back up folder of the game

for example my save game is SSV.sims3 the back up will be SSV,sims3.backup i move the SSV.sims3 folder to the desktop and carefully rename the .backup by removing .backup so the folder will now be SSV.sims3 when you launch your game you should see that save game you can load that game to play to see if it plays ok beaware that you may loose some game play as the backup file is created from the last time you saved that particular game

the sims will keep the skills they have and friendships they have with each other and any items in the inventory but you'll be starting with the wishes and maybe building up friendships up around the the town again
