Hello.
Origin forced me to update to EA App and since then I cannot launch my Sims 3.
I can install all the DLCs that I own just fine and it also appears in my library in EA App, but when I try to launch it says that there is an error on their end. I have tried to communicate with EA support but it has been nearly a month since their last reply and I can't find where to ask for live chat support. I followed their troubleshoot steps from their first and only reply, I have reinstalled from scratch several times, both the game and the EA App, I tried to reinstall Origin and stop it from updating to EA App, I installed DirectX 9, I have tried removing admin permissions (though since today EA App has started to ask me to give admin permissions, but even then it won't work), and I tried some of the troubleshoots from the threads in this website (I can't remember which ones. I am willing to try again from square one if needed), I also tried to repair the game from the EA App several times. My other games work. All of them except for the sims 3. Right now I am fresh out of yet another attempt at reinstalling everything from scratch and still it won't work.

EDIT 05/16/2023: I was able to launch my game after turning off the internet. I don't know how to fix that issue, as turning off the internet is...well...less than ideal...but at least the game is now launching.
