The Sims 3 on mac taking up around 120gb on hard disk

Hi, I have The Sims 3 with every single expansion, no stuff packs, via origin so the digital version. But I'm facing a major problem, my game seems to take up hard disk space twice or something l...

    @puzzlezaddict It's running, although it isn't running very smooth but it is working! I just pasted the WA folder into my latest ep one, which was Into the Future for me. And as soon as I clicked the Sims 3 icon, the launcher popped up and I was able to play the game!

    Thank you so much for your help during my struggles 🙂

@kelboe123  I've moved your post to the Sims 3 Mac section.  You're right, the game shouldn't take up anywhere near 120 GB—it should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 GB, maybe 35 at most.

Please open Applications\The Sims 3, right-click on the Sims 3 base game icon, and select Get Info.  Let me know how large it is, and if it is in fact 120 GB, please check the contents as well.  Right-click on the base game icon and select Show Package Contents.  From there, open Contents, then Resources, right-click on the AddOns folder, and let me know how large it is as well.  Then open AddOns and check the size of each pack.  You don't need to list them all, but they should range from around 1.5 GB for later packs to 3.77 GB for World Adventures.  (I have that one installed, but not all of them.)  Into the Future should be larger, but still maybe in the range of 6 GB.

Once we know exactly where the extra data is, it's easy enough to figure out what should in fact be there and what can safely be deleted.
