I also live on the east coast. It's 6am and I was able to download the game but I can't register it. It keeps telling me my code is invalid. wtf? It's definitely not already registered.
I am in North Carolina, pre-ordered the Sims 3 Season, was able to download but cannot register......... Therefore the additional money I paid and the trouble of pre-ordering served no purpose whatsoever.

It is an internationalissue. I'm in NB in Canada. I hate waiting, that is why I preorder.
experiencing the same problem in England, would have been more beneficial to buy a hard copy the day of the release!
