The Sims 3 Stops Working

Ok so this game has been pretty annoying for the last couple of months. Every time I go to play after a couple minutes the game crashes and a dialogue box appears saying that the sims 3 has stopped working. It has been happeneing for a while and has been getting worse. Now I can't even play because the moment it loads the main menu and sometimes before that, it crashes. I have seen that alot of people have had this problem but there hasn't really been a clear cut solution to how to fix it that works for everyone. Is there someone that actually knows how to stop this from happening so I can actually play the game, which is why I bouht it in the first place. If not I want all of my money back because I'm tired of having to keep fixing this game. I spend more time trying to figure out what is wrong with it as opposed to playing it. I have a PC and I gpurchased the sims 3 seasons recently. Honestly the game really is not that fun to play anymore it is just another thing that i have to fix because it doesn't work. Like I said if nothing can be done I demand my money back because I have better things to use it on than a game that does not even work.

    You're graphic chip is below specs. You need at least 128 MB of dedicated memory, you only have 64 MB. I can't tell if you maybe have another graphic card in your computer. If so, check this out: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2013/06/getting-the-game-to-recognize-your-card.html

    If not, 

    Try lowering your graphic settings and turn off mirror reflections.
