The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff

I purchased the Town Life and installed it on my mac. I previously had Ambition. When intall is complete and I try to run Town Life it keeps giving me an error message of "Unknown Error." I uninstalled it all and intalled sims 3 and town life. I get the same error.
