The sims 3 won't launch

@Gabz0078 You might have set the resolution to something the game couldn't handle on your computer. The way to test this is to drag your options.ini file out of your TS3 folder in Documents. (You can save it elsewhere.) This will revert your options to something the game thinks your computer can handle.
If this doesn't work, try dragging your entire TS3 folder out of Documents and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. If you can load and play in this folder, you can start moving your saves and other content over from the old one.
The other possibility is that you downloaded a faulty driver or that another update borked your game in some way. If the above steps don't help, you can run a dxdiag and attach it to a post using the paper clip icon.
