The Sims 3 won't open.
I want to preface with apologies if I seem mad or curt, but that's because I'm exceptionally frustrated. The Sims 3 with Origin will NOT open. The launcher opens, but when you press play no error message pops up, nothing. It's as if you never opened the game in the first place. I have tried EVERYTHING the forums tell me to and nothing is working. I have tried running it as an administrator, disabling origin in-game play or whatever, uninstalling the game, repairing the game, going into the file itself and seeing what I could do there even AFTER uninstalling. I truly don't know what to do.
Again, I'm pretty frustrated and tired. I understand it's an old game, but come on. If it's not going to work for a large majority of people, then maybe don't make the game $30? That's a separate issue that isn't meant for here, but I spent a good amount of money on this and the expansion packs expecting it to work, which it's absolutely on me for not testing out the game first, but seriously. I apologize for the venting, but I'm super disappointed and any help would be very much appreciated. And if there is any more information that is needed in order to help, please let me know.
@Marie_Spectrum Your issue, or at least your main issue, has nothing to do with OneDrive. Rather, it's that Sims 3 doesn't start correctly on 12th-gen Intel processors like yours. The workaround is to limit the game to one CPU core as it loads. Please see the accepted solution in this thread for more information:
I also want to say I wasn't suggesting that you buy more OneDrive storage. I personally think it's a waste of money, but even putting that aside, you could simply stop OneDrive from syncing the contents of Documents:
You might need to pause syncing or cancel the current sync first:
Between that and clearing out old files, you should have more than enough space even with only a free account. And you can always upload your files manually.
