The Sims 3 won't open

Hello I can't play The Sims 3 on my laptop and I don't know why I have used the patch by LazyDuchess in case my CPU is a 12th gen one and my CPU is an Intel Pentium Silver N6000

    @pitthamb385  Your processor isn't a 12th-gen model, but it's one of those affected by the same issue, as the errors in your dxdiag show.  Running the Super Patch would have undone the effects of Lazy Duchess's patch, so it's good that you ran it again.

    Are you currently having any issues playing?  It sounds from your posts like the game is working now, but let me know if that's not the case.

    @puzzlezaddict I have just bought the game and the Hi-End Loft Stuff pack from CeX and reapplied the patch after installing the super patcher and it works perfectly

    My EA Play subscription ended so I think that was due to EA Play and somehow the app thinks I own the game while in real life it's just EA Play

    And if I press play on the EA app it opens the disc version as I installed from discs

    and I registered the Hi-End Loft stuff pack even though it was second hand

    @puzzlezaddict No I just uninstalled the EA/Origin version, installed The Sims 3 from a DVD, ran the Super Patch since I have installed from discs and reapplied the patch by LazyDuchess
