Trouble With Sims 3 on Mac
I recently got an Mac computer and it is upgraded macOS High Sierra version10.13.6 (17G11023)
Processor is 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory is 12 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Storage is 500 GB with over 400 available.
I entered my product code for Sims 3 and several expansion packs on Origin and then downloaded them to the Origin app. I then installed them all to my computer. When I try to launch the game it looks like it is trying to bring up Sims 3 into the Future and says "Unknown error occurred." I've tried to google solutions but have seen many different options from downloading patches to getting windows as an operating system and am not sure what to do.
@emmamg13 Have you installed any of Ambitions, Late Night, Fast Lane, or Outdoor Living? If so, you'll need to apply two workarounds to get past the unknown error. The first is simple: create an alias for each pack that doesn't already have on in the launcher.

The second is to copy a folder from each affected pack into the folder for Into the Future, which is your newest pack by release date (obviously, since it was the last pack released). This video shows exactly what to do:
The other packs shouldn't need either workaround.
If you don't own any of those four packs, please do a clean uninstall of the whole game:

Install the base game only, run the Super Patch to manually patch to 1.67, and test.

Let me know whether it works.
