Trying to install then reinstall sims 3: error code 5006

Hi there,

I was having problems downloading a new Sims 3 expansion pack. Tried many things then decided to completely uninstall Sims 3 then reload the game and expansion packs. I successfully uninstalled the expansion packs but I get an error for the regular sims 3 game. Please help! I am recovering from a tonsilectomy. I just want to play my game! 🙂

I have done everything that the message asked me. I am lost on what to do!
