These kinds of problems happen when you have bad custom content downloaded in your game. Read this to learn more about this, including what you should do to get rid of it: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/custom-content-cc/bad-cc

Please help me, I downloaded 2 expansion packs from Amazon and installed them multiple times. I have no other custom content besides one other "world" that I have had for years. Is that the problem? I try to open the game and it immediately shuts down and gives me this error message. I can't even see what's going on in the game and this is so frustrating! What do I do?

I know this is an old post, but I also play Sims 3 on mac and had the debug issue and I figured out how to fix it. You go into The Sims 3 files like the post tells you too and make copies of your DCCache and DCBackup. Then delete everything that's in them. After you do that open the launcher, or restart it if it was already open. NOW you can get into the installed content without that annoying debug message. Delete what you suspect is the bad CC. A lot of your good downloads will be missing, just reinstall them. Play game, and taadaa! Worked for me at least.

Hi there.
Since this is a pretty old thread that hasn't seen any updates for quite a while I went ahead and locked it.
If you need some help with an issue like this please post a new thread when you have the chance.
Thanks!
