1. Not that I know of. Not sure what's going on in your game. Could you try a game with new Sims to see if you get the same issue
2. There are some patterns that cause the forever Materializing Materials issue. Most of those were pre-CAP-Tool though

@utterlyunzipped: So you really can't set ownerships for two sims on a double bed ? I would think that you can just assign it to someone else. Did you try to sell the bed and replace it with a new one ?
