Video Game Developer Career

In my game in Appaloosa Plains one of my Sims got a job in the Video Game Developer career path. When it comes time for him to go to work, he isn't able to get into the carpool or even drive himself to work. When I send him to the work location, the business and restaurant building, and click on the building to send him to work he also isn't able to go to work. The icon to go to the carpool/work shows up for a brief second but just just goes away. I don't have any custom content, only store items. How can I get my Sim to work?
