I had the same issue at one point and what helped me was un-installing the Origin client and re-downloading and re-installing it. Here the download links:

I have the same issue. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well but still see the same error.

I have the same issue - and I'm using a Mac as well.  I talked to EA and they said that had moved the problem up to senior people who would email me with some information....I guess we'll see. 

I have a Mac too, but the first time I downloaded island paradise it worked fine but bugged out my game (and I have no mods) so I uninstalled it and now im getting this error ever time I try to redownload. now i cant even play my game

SAME ISSUE.

And I've tried uninstall-reinstall.

login, logout.

Can someone please explain to me why I paid for something that isn't even DOWNLOADING?

So I bought Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition from gamestop in hopes to avoid this problem... Sadly when you get the download from them it is just a key and it tells you to redeem it on the origin site...

So I did just that I launched my Origin Client and went trough the steps of redeeming my game...

I clicked download and waited for it to download and install...

That was around 11pm est last night!

Since then I have tried everything... I do mean every bloody thing I could think of short of a freaking blood sacrifice!

It is now 5 pm est and my game still hasn't downloaded and installed

I've seen this error message so many times I can list the numbers from memory (front ways and back ways)

I have been so pissed that I still haven't been to bed yet...

I just want my freaking game to work so that I can sleep peacefully

Ok so that last line is a total lie odds are once I do get the game installed I'll be up another couple hours playing but that's not the point...

My point is I paid for a game that I can't even play it and I'm not to happy about it ☹️
