Unable to "connect" after EA App update July 3rd - Sims 3 on Mac

Hi everyone. I updated the EA App yesterday (July 3rd 2026) on Mac, and I can't play anymore.

Wen opening the launcher, I noticed I wasn't logged in anymore. I've tried logging in multiple times, and every time I get "Please enter a valid email address".

If I press play and try to log in directly in the game, a "Connecting" animation pops up and nothing happens. 

I've tried :

  • Restarting my computer
  • Reseting my password with letters and numbers only, no special characters
  • Reparing the EA App with app recovery and clearing the cache
  • Reparing the base game and all DLC

As you can see, I have a few NRAAS mods installed, never had any problems.

This is happening since the recent EA App update. Anyone have any ideas?

  • dabbedabbe​  Please open Keychain Access, in Applications > Utilities, search for sims3 , and delete any entries you find.  This should reset the infinite connecting at the Main Menu at least.

    If that doesn't help, delete the Keychain Access info again, and at the same time, run another App Recovery, and also delete the file labeled [your email].bin in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads.

    You don't need to login to the launcher in order to play.  I always skip that step because it's unreliable at best and can cause the game to get stuck connecting at the Main Menu as well.
