What is error code 8016
Every time i try to start Sims 3 i get a message saying "A required security module cannot be activated. This program cannot be executed (8016)."

Its a new computer, my brother had it built for me. So windows came with it. The game is a download, i have had it on my laptop before.
Well, did some research and it seems your processor is the new skylake generation. They seem to have an issue with secuRom (Download version of Sims has securom).
So, only solution is to update your bios. Guess you need to talk to your brother about that (and ask him to install a 64 bit OS. No use to have such a great computer and have a 32 bit OS on it)

I don't think a 64 bit version should cost more.
