When I enter my Sims 3 product code it says ''This code has already been used''.

I just bought the Sims 3 for PC from ebay(used).  I own the PC Install Disc yet I'm unable to install it to my laptop? and I cannot get through to customer support, as for Live Chat I've tried changing my country to US(I live in the UK) but it still stays grey and doesn't connect, I've phoned them and haven't got through. I need an answer here as it getting ridiculous. Can someone help me get another code or something?

Btw, I do get that since it's used the previous person would have entered a code but as I now own the game surely I am entitled to another code?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

    the same thing well kinda the same thing happened to me see i got mine of trade me ( a New Zealand trade site) and i installed it using the disk but now i have the sims 4 and i want to collect my rewards so i need to register my sims 3 and its EP's to origin but when i try redeeming my code it says 'this code has already been used'.

    how do they give u another I need 1 I bought it yesterday and it said when I tried to login it was expired
