Where do I download purchased games

I have a new computer and it's been a while since I've played. I last played through origin. Now I want to download my games and can't find where to do that. Thanks in advance.

  • @kbrown1379  The EA App doesn't technically support Linux.  I do know that certain Linux distros have setups, or add-on support, that allows the App to run properly (most of the time), but I'm not familiar enough with Linux overall to help you there.  You could check a few forums for gaming on Linux to see what they say and maybe find a guide.

The other option, of course, is to install Windows.  This is fairly simple if you have at least temporary access to a computer that already runs Windows.  The downside is that you'd need to buy a Windows product key somewhere.  An old one for Windows 10 would be fine since you'd only need the product key.

  • @kbrown1379  Download the EA App:

    https://www.ea.com/ea-app

Sign in with the same email address and password that you've always used in Origin.  Once the App loads, open your game library, click Sims 3, and select Download.  You should be asked which expansion and stuff packs you'd like to install along with the other details like language and install location.  If you're not seeing the packs listed, scroll down a bit.

Later on, if you want to install another (or a newly purchased) pack, click Sims 3, select Manage > Manage Add-ons, and find the pack on the list.

Thank you for responding. This computer I purchased was built from the ground up and the seller told me it has Linux. I am not familiar with Linux. Could this be why I can't see any place to download?

    Thank you for your time
