ok usually say you live in the US then the patch you need is from Region 1 then download the patch oh and there are patches for pc and mac so be sure to get the right one

thanks so much for the response my post rumbutter and I don't it was nosy at all lol, that was very sweet of you, I'm not having problem logging in, it's just that I'm having problems with purchasing stuff and that also includes redeem codes for some reason when I try to redeem the code it doesn't appear in my purchase history, which is kind of a bummer

sorry for late reply I was testing something in game lol
ok to change the flag to the country you live in for example I live in the US you live in the UK on the sims3 site where you see the flag there is a drop down menu
so you'll select English in the drop down menu then the side menu will open click UK this sets the flag to your country
redeeming codes if you redeem a code for a game in your origin account the icon for the game shows up in your my games tab then right click that icon your code shows up there for store worlds codes even if bought in origin or on a disk those codes are redeemed for the world in your the sims 3 account which then gives you the world to download and install the code is no longer needed for the world as the item should show up in your the sims3 my store account purchase history to download and install or to redownload and install should you need to then there's the codes for EA cash cards which you redeem on the ea cash card thingy and will go to your ea account balance but can be redeemed for simpoints on the sims3 account but then again there can be an issue with just getting an invalid or code already used we have an FAQ on that but that also means contacting the CS via live chat to sort code already used/invalid codes and sometimes that can happen if the person has more than one account but logged into the wrong account the one not associated with the sims 3
