[ARCHIVED] Exchange Vows Grayed Out on wedding arch

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.109.207.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Identify the problem
What happens when the bug occurs? The Exchange Vows is greyed out so Engaged Sims will not be able to get married.
What do you expect to see? Exchange Vows must be functioning again to make sims get married.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Update

I've got the Exchange Vows button is greyed out because the game thinks the engaged partner is not present. Can anyone make the fix immediately. Thanks.

    My sims are already engaged. The base game wedding and wedding stories wedding is broken in my game. The only thing I can do in the game is elopement . I have no mods

    I had the same problem with my Sims' wedding just today; however, I found a solution.

    Instead of clicking on the wedding arch. Click on one of the Sims (One of the Sims getting married, of course) and go through the menu.


    Romance > Ceramony Activities> (Choice of how you want them to get married.)

    It worked like a charm.

    During the wedding events, the exchange vows option is grayed out when I click on the arch, even when both Sims are present.

    I'm trying to get my Sims married but when I click on the wedding arch the get married option is grayed out and it tells me "Your Sim's fiancé isn't around. Invite them here first" even though both of my Sims are on the lot.
