I recently downloaded my game, and I created a brand new save file. The create a sim works fine. However, when I went to manage world or travel, the loading screen was endless, like never ending. Not longer, it would not stop. It might be a glitch. I play on Xbox One / Xbox Series S. I already bought TS4 For Rent Expansion Pack. Please look into this and try to resolve this issue soon. Did your game eventually crash or freeze? Did you receive any error messages on your console when this happened?

@EA_Solaire Just a lengthy load screen. It did not stop. I am not sure if it's just a console issue or also on pc. So longer than usual loading, and absolutely no way around it. Mainly when you try to manage world or travel. It involves the world map. Playing within your lot, I see nothing out of the ordinary. The game did update and I installed For Rent. But problem still exists. Please look into it. It seems never ending at times.

@EA_Solaire The load screen can last 15 to 20 minutes or longer. At this point I just turn the game off. So no crash or error code. Sadly, the game is just not fun like that. I own just about everything on Xbox, except a few kits. Please help.

Is The Sims downloaded onto an external or the internal drive?

Please try a full power cycle on your console:

Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Same issue here. Game seems to be freezing at the loading screens. Mine's been stuck at least 20 minutes. I'm on the Xbox Series X. No external drive. Guess I'm not playing tonight.

@EA_Solaire No external hard drive. And I have done what you have described. It is the game. I am sure others may be experiencing the same issue. When it does this, I just turn the game off. I have uninstalled it and installed it again. You do understand that The Sims 4 has these types of issues every now and then. And your customer service line is "completely" gone. I learned that the hard way when I had a different issue. Now Answers HQ is our only option to get assistance. No chat, no phone number and no e-mail. Usually these issues are fixed with a patch or update. The Sims 4 has a history of certain things. So I have done what you have asked. The game just needs a little TLC, and it will be better. Thank you for your patience and time.

@gea250 Hey, I'm glad that I am not the only one who is experiencing this. I have Xbox Series S. I'm sure that others may see this too. Usually it works well. Just something every now and then before a new pack. That is normal for the Sims 4. Hang in there.

This is something I am also experiencing on the PlayStation console. I even went through the process of uninstalling the game and all the packs for it and re installing and it is still on an endless load screen. No failure, or error message. Just continuous loading for over an hour. I pre ordered the pack and was able to play the day of release and the following day, but I have not been able to access any of my loaded/saved games at all since 12/7/2023.

@angelboi7531 I think it is an entire console issue ☹️ I was only able to play for rent the first day of release basically.

@angelboi7531 It’s happening for ps5 users as well. It works beautifully with mouse and keyboard when the game is running right but I have had this issue since the day after release and there is no other way for us as console players to report issues or receive technical support. It’s definitely the game. I know they put out another small patch after the drop of for rent but since that small patch I have had issues accessing my playable household saved games since then. I’m just stuck on a continuous loop of load screen.
