Sims’s eyes close better in more forms of sleeping.
There was a fix for one issue in this thread. There's still issues with the eyes that currently have threads.
Please use either of these, depending on what you see
I've never posted on any of these boards, despite being a Simmer since I was a very little one. I joke to people that I was welcomed into the world to the sound of the Sims 1 Fire Alarm, as my older siblings were 90s kids glued to the game, constantly queueing up actions for sims until one of them inevitably started a fire somehow. 20+ years of gameplay in total here. This series of games has been a lifelong love that I step away from sometimes, but not for long. Eventually I get the itch that calls me back to my computer or console to play the next iteration.
But then, These Eye bugs came along.... It's been so long since I've played now. A lot of my gameplay involves taking up-close pictures of sims to tell my stories as well. It truly is game breaking if you are someone who takes photos of your sims, or even just enjoys zooming in to watch their animations during gameplay.
I'm no expert on game creation/animation/etc. but I agree with what others have said so far. Is there a way to just revert the eyes to how they were before the eyelashes, and then work from there to try to make the new eyelashes *fit the eyes*, not the other way around?
I'm kinda joking and kinda not joking when I say, my birthday just passed and all I wish for, is for these bugs to be fixed once and for all 😅 I'd love to get back into my Sims story and truly miss playing. I'd hate for this to be the way the story ends for so many of us storytellers.
I really hope we can get some communication on this soon because the bugs are truly devastating. It would be so greatly appreciated by many to get news on these bugs and just let us know what's going on. Thank you as well to people like Khlas that have provided demonstrations for what needs to be fixed.
I'll also provide a photo I took during my gameplay using poses, of my Mikasa Ackerman sim where the bug is present, where her eyes are supposed to be closed but she ends up looking like shes squinting. She has CC on but this still occurs no matter what I do and if CC is in the game or not.
A bug that affects the Sims' face and/or body should be a top priority.
Players take photos, they do storytelling, they take a lot of time to create a sim they'll be playing with for years to come.
Modders need to work with good looking Sims.
I really don't understand why there are 200 players officially ignored (and unofficially many more, as not all the players affected by this bug report the problem on this thread).
I understood that we weren't heard when mods and CCs were the cause of bugs and we could create a batch fix on our own, but this is a much more serious problem.
We have no way of doing anything about it, as only EA's developers can correct the problem.
The bug is present WITH and WITHOUT mods.
I've been playing The Sims for 25 years, and this is the first time I've thought about quitting and throwing away my saves.
This game has been with me for so long and I don't want to give it up, but if this bug isn’t fixed (4 bugs to be precise) I'll be forced to stop.
It's just not possible to play in these conditions.

3. Eyes not closing all the way (All animations) bug
4. Eyelids going into eyes bug (clipping issue)

Hi there, it's just rjssim here. I'm just hoping for some updates on these eye bug issues. A lot of us storytellers still can't play the game and continue on with our stories because of these critical eye bug issues. Us storytellers take a lot of screenshots, and these eye bug issues prevent us from taking the screenshots that we need for our stories. Can we please get some news and updates on this critical eye bug issues?
Although I am disappointed in the development team because of how long these eye bug issues have gone without a fix, I do have to say that they did an excellent job on the performance on this recent update. I loaded up the game to test it with DirectX 11. I can now go to San Myshuno and get a smooth solid 130-144 (stays mostly at 140-144) fps zoomed out and panning. It wasn't like this before! They did a really good job there. Now, they just need to get those eye bug issues fixed. Also, they need to get that romance bug fixed too because that's another game and story breaking bug.
Yeah, one would think fixing something affecting Sims appearance would be priority. Yet here we are...
