[ARCHIVED] [FR] Tenants wont pay rent

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.84
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? For rent, Cottage living, Highschool Years, Growing Together, Cats and Dogs, My First Pet Stuff, Pastel Pop Kit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? play as a landlord for a few days but your tenants will not pay you
What happens when the bug occurs? You will not recieve rent from your tenanats
What do you expect to see? My sims tenants paying me
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    Just bought the game a few days ago as part of the September Showcase sale. I only noticed today that I wasn't collecting rent and so I wondered if this was a known issue/bug and I was very shocked to see that this expansion pack has been out for months and nothing has been done to fix it. In my opinion it looks like our money has been stolen and we have been lied to. The correct action they need to take is either refund everyone (highly doubt they will) or release an update to fix the bug.... I will not be buying anymore packs until they fix this issue because how do we know that any other new ones do not have major issues also?

    I agree, its very frustrating. Im paying myself through cheats now just to be able to still play the game.

    I also had an issue where my game would go to manage world whenever I tried to visit a certain rental unit.

    This is beyond shameful. An entire pack useless by a bug and a company that doesn't care one bit about it. Shame on you.

    This post is almost one year old and the bug still not fixed?? I am on PC, just bought the For Rent pack and I get no payment from my tenant at all. Really?! This pack has no sense at all and I wasted money. When will this be fixed?

    I have this issue but the other way around where the landlord thinks I owe even though I do not. 

    This happens on the Sungai Point lot

    I also am having this problem. I'm not sure if there is anyone this expansion pack actually works for.

    My game version: 1.111.102.1030

    I started a new save without mods after running into this issue (as well as the For Rent bug where you can't fix tenant emergencies). I had my sim buy a rental with two units. She lived in one and the tenant lived in the other. Game went like so:

    Sunday: Tenant moved in. $150 daily rent in agreement.

    Monday: Tenant revolt for no apparent reason.

    Tuesday: Trash emergency at my unit. Contractor was called and the issue was successfully dealt with.

    Wednesday: No rent paid (I saw some people saying that Wednesday was payday). Bug emergency at their unit. My sim traveled there and fumigated successfully but got the "nothing was done" message, lowered ratings, and a tense moodlet.

    Thursday: Water leak at their unit. I sent expensive contractor over there without visiting, and the contractor successfully dealt with the problem.

    Friday: Trash emergency at my unit. Fixed successfully on my own.

    Saturday: Trash emergency at their unit. My sim traveled there to fix it, but once again got the "nothing was done" message erroneously.

    Sunday: Haunting at their unit. Once again traveled to fix it and erroneously got the "nothing was done" message. The lease renewed for 7 days without any grace period or notification. No rent was paid.

    So, no rent paid the entire lease period. An emergency every single day that is impossible to solve yourself. This pack is completely broken.

    I think I figured out a workaround: I bought the Rental over the phone, like some suggested and then had the tenants move in over Manage Worlds, NOT over the UI for Landlords. I got paid rent for the first time ever on the following thursday at 4am. I have the MC Command Center Mod to make the days longer so Payday is probably on Wednesday and I got it a little delayed. Hope this workaround works for others as well!

    I've had the same issue and I'm playing on pc without mods. I tried living in the same vacancy with the tenants and living in an entirely different world and I've never received rent. It's absolutely ridiculous that the main feature of this game doesnt work, I waited for a year to get this pack (I bought this today) and its not fixed yet? And no modder has come out with a mod fix for this? (which I was waiting for mostly tbh, I wasnt expecting EA to fix their broken game).
