[ARCHIVED] Tooltip indicates wrong object
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
What is your current game version number? 1.90.358.1030 (64)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a parent and child combo go to the Youth Festival. The parent orders an ice cream crepe. Upon returning, the parent goes to bed.
What happens when the bug occurs? The tool tip for the bed is identical to the tooltip for the ice cream crepe from earlier.
What do you expect to see? I expect it to be a bed and not an ice cream
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
So I have all the packs and no mods. Playing on a PC. This is a brand new save.
I took my sim and child to the Youth Festival and the parent had a Matcha Ice cream crepe at the festival. When they came back home, the parent went to bed and the child then played on the computer. I noticed that the tooltip over the parent's bed now read as "Matcha Ice Cream Crepe"
So, I am thinking that there is a pretty obvious connection here between the last thing that the sim touches and when the random object suddenly decides it is something else entirely. I've seen fruit trees call themselves beds as well.
I've attached a screenshot of what I am seeing in game.
After the parent woke up, I went to see if the tooltip appeared again and it did not. So I am guessing that it maybe has to do with the natural decay of how long the ice cream lasts in game (9 hours before it goes bad) and is actually attached to the Sim and not the bed itself.
Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title, adjusted title.
