Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Updated a few days ago (today is 10/14/2022) and there's nothing in the game version file
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Base Game, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Cottage Living, Discover University, Get to Work, Jungle Adventure, Realm of Magic, StrangerVille, Vampires, Werewolves, Moschino, Movie Hangout, Paranormal, Tiny Living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have two, non-evil/mean/mischievous young adult Vampire sims that are married for a while. One should have had a flirty interaction with someone else several game days ago that originally resulted in the “flirty spouse” negative moodlet for one of the sims, but no actual, full-on cheating but has long since been forgiven and gone away. Now let them interact autonomously with maxed relationship and romantic relationship levels and one should start randomly insulting/being mean to the other for no reason
What happens when the bug occurs? One of my married Vampire sims keeps trying to do mean/mischief interactions with her husband when left to interact autonomously. Their friendship/relationship and romantic relationship is as high as possible, but with one or two interactions she drops it way down.
What do you expect to see? My sims be able to interact autonomously without the wife constantly being mean/insulting the husband for no reason
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I don't know what to do to fix this. I've found other threads with similar issues that asked to submit saved game files by messaging one of the EA people, but every time I clicked the "send message" button to share mine for help, I kept getting an access denied message. I couldn't find a solution to that, so I'm posting this here, along with a link to my saved game file: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pX4UPSdp7C37BPU7cXtMiG0FhiXkYTKT?usp=sharing. The main saved file is in the main folder, but then there's a ton of different versions and I wasn't sure which was right, so I put all of those in a separate folder. That link should allow access to all of them.
For some more background information on my game, I've been playing with these sims off and on for several weeks/months now. They're Vampires and the couple has had three kids, who have all grown up and moved out. I did have an issue with them at one of their kids weddings where I wasn't paying attention to this couple and then saw one of them was furious and had a flirty spouse negative moodlet. They were both flirty, and I guess one of them had a flirty interaction with one of the guests and I didn't notice. There didn't seem to be any actual cheating involved. However, they made up and everything was fine again, the moodlet went away, and it seemed like it never happened. I don't remember which one had the moodlet. That was a long time ago in the game.
I took a break from playing a short while ago (still a long while after everything was resolved), and when I went to play again this week, my game had to update first. I don't know to what version though. The only way I could find to look up the version was in the Game Version text file, which was blank, and I couldn't find any other suggestions on where else to find it.
Today when I opened the game, I started having the issue, and this is the first I've noticed it. They can't have a conversation or be anywhere near each other unless I click on interactions for them. Otherwise, despite having the maximum relationship and romantic relationship possible, the wife keeps being mean to the husband and dropping the relationship way down with one or two insults. Neither are evil and I've never chosen for them to use a mean interaction with anyone before. It's completely out of character for her. I went in and adjusted their dislikes so that they both don't like the mischief skill, but that didn't help at all. Someone had suggested using cheats debug thing to go in and remove sentiments, but when I turned them on, I didn't see that option. I did see a Clear Marriages option, so I tried that for both of them, thought it worked for a moment, and then she was right back at it. I didn't have this issue before the update that I can remember, or the one time I played after the update. It seems to have just started today, and she just keeps doing it. I've seen some people mention mods as a potential temporary solution, but that's not really something I want to start using.
