[FIXED] Game crashing/visual issues on character values UI menu

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? As I am toggling between build mode and play mode. It occurs on rental property my sim owns as well as where they live.
What happens when the bug occurs? Only the needs menu shows up. The other sim panels do not come up and neither does the main menu. I have to open task manager to close the game. Sometimes during this when I send my sim home from a rental property the landscape goes black.
What do you expect to see? The glitch mostly occurs after I switch back from build mode after playing for a while (about an hour)
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

The glitch mostly occurs after I switch back from build mode after playing for a while (about an hour). It occurs on rental property my sim owns as well as where they live after I exit the build mode only the needs menu shows up none of the other sim panels work and I can not switch back to build mode and I am unable to access the main menu. I have to open task manager to close the game. Sometimes during this, when I send my sim home from a rental property, the landscape goes black.

So I updated my game today and I have a pretty decent gaming computer everything seemed fine and then I tried to open my teen sims control panels like the one that has their values and info with the age bar for adults it’s ok but when you click to open on a child/teens to open it it doesn’t let you scroll down in fact the scroll bar doesn’t even show and it has the values for good or bad characteristic traits from parenthood constantly looking like something is going up on both sides even though I’m not having them do anything that would effect that and then after I try to open their panels it won’t let me click on any of the upper ui buttons to like exit out or save game I have to force quit and it’s not until I try to open the panels it does this… I have attached a photo to show what I mean

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I start my game, get to my family. Go to build mode to place a table with a computer and a lamp. Go back to play mode go to life skills which first takes longer than usual to open and then when it opens it loads half of the screen. This thing with life skills only happens with my teenagers sim.
What happens when the bug occurs? Following then no buttons in the game work anymore. I can still move around in the game but nothing else works anymore. I can't let my sims do anything and when i go to build mode the whole barr at the bottom disappears.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see my life skills and all my buttons to work properly.

Sounds like we're having the same issue. Except this happens whenever I open the child's Simology panel, regardless of whether or not I do anything before.

Hi! I'm SimmerStar4 (they/them). I'm not an expert on game issues, so don't take me as one! I'm just a Sims player who wants to try and help fellow players, and who finds game bugs and issues interesting.

My game becomes unresponsive when I click Simology panel for teen. I cannot click on any other tab.  Upper menu also does nothing, cannot open game options, build mode, cannot close the game. I have to end the game through task manager.

Also when I try to open CAS after clicking the Simology panel on a teen, the CAS is black screen.

I deleted my mods before downloading update and deleted localthumbcache. After encounering this bug I tried verifying files with Steam, clearing EA app cache but no luck.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Enter Build Mode on any lot
What happens when the bug occurs? I hit F2. It suddenly looks like Free Camera Mode (no menus, like when I hit Tab). Not showing the Buy menus at the bottom, just the functional buttons at the top right (Camera, Notifications, Options, etc.). None of the buttons at top respond when I click on them. Nothing brings up the actual Buy menus. I can't change to other modes (Play, Build, etc.) Completely unresponsive to Function keys. Can't exit. Can't save. Tab doesn't restore menus. Can't do anything other than move items by clicking on them. Basically, if I enter Build mode, my game dies. It literally worked fine 12 hours ago, so no question it's the new patch and the new patch has completely destroyed my ability to play my game.
What do you expect to see? The usual - I have all the Buy functions as the bottom (By Function, By Room, Family Inventory, etc.) There's nothing where those should be.

Sadly, the new patch today has broken my game's UI system. 

The household I am in I cannot open any of the tabs (skills, needs etc). When I try and come out of it, the screen goes mostly black, but I can still hear the game running. I have tried to repair and restarted my computer. I have no mods installed at all.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When I open the game, the icons for many items in the panel show incorrectly. I do not have to do anything for this to happen. After a couple minutes of play, I try to click the personality panel while in game play. This then causes the game to glitch more.
What happens when the bug occurs? Without me doing anything, the icons on the bottom panel in gameplay show the incorrect icons (i.e. the phone icon says "phone" but shows the calendar image. After trying to open the personality panel, the image of the panel is black/white and does not say anything. After this, I am unable to click on anything or even close the tab. I also have not been able to use "control +command+C" to get cheat box to appear.
What do you expect to see? Incorrect icons, unable to use cheat box, unable to save and close game, unable to get Sims to complete tasks

Please describe the patch or change you made. I removed my mods folder from the Sims 4 folder on my computer. The issues still occurred.

The bugs began occurring right after I installed the new update. 

every time i try to go to the worlds the game turns black and i can’t click on anything. also the bottom right tabs glitch and i can’t click on them. this just started happening after my game updated (today 7/23)
