@crinrictI figured out a workaround. First my error code changed.. It no longer said 0 any more it said error code: 102:7b7227ed:5bc3f356 & said to restart game. I searched this up & many players said Error code 102 is related to Mods/CC. I do not use either, and never had. So what was happening was I CAN go to work as a detective, I can play at the police station all I want & at the end of the day I can go home just fine. BUT if I leave the police station to go on Patrol- it will start loading, then suddenly stop & bring me to the worlds map with error code. If I try to go to a crime scence- same thing- loads for a minute then I get the error code & see world map. 1 out of every 12 attempts I will actually make it to the crime scene, I will collect the clues, interview witnesses, if I try to go back to the police station, error code! Stay at crime scene until end of shift- error code. Try to leave early error code. At home there is only one Sim on lot, my Sims wife- if I try to load her at home & leave him at work from world map- error code. I have literally spent 15 hours today trying to figure this out! Welppp.... After disabling ALL neighborhood stories (I had different setting for my households & separate settings for other households, and individualized settings for my most cherished families) after resetting and disabling them ALL, I can now play my detective career normally & travel back and forth from police station to crime scene without it messing up. I've been testing it the past hour and it's been fine so far. I also followed some steps on another post- delete cashes, update/repair through origin. I did all that first- tried my game- still had error codes. I also checked family's inventory, household inventory, refrigerator, toy box & book shelves just to make sure there wasn't anything odd- all seemed well. I also deleted two items off my lot (if it helps) two items my current Sim's mother earned from mixology career- the silver bar & tall lamp that looks like a martini glass.
When going on patrol, I never get past the loading screen so I am not sure. But when traveling to crime scene it generates a different lot/scene each time, so I do not think it's lot related. But I am not sure, sorry I know you asked for my save a month ago! Let me boot up my laptop & see what I can do!
@crinrict I followed your instructions game post #7, I created a Zip file on my desktop. I tried to DM you it and cannot figure it out. I drag the file over, and it does not do anything, Cut-Copy-Paste. Is there a button somewhere to insert or upload a file? I a chose file button below, just tried it and it said "Unsupported extension type."
Alright thank you. I believe I sent you a copy from before I turned off all stories. Again, I've been at it the past 4 hours. After turning stories off it worked for a little bit, I was able to travel, then began getting error codes. So I started other scenarios. Right now, every morning 30 minutes before Detective career starts I travel to the Oasis Springs park next door, SAVE game, then travel to work, if I save game during my shift then try to travel I receive the error code. So I guess I cannot save during my shift. I have to save before or after. It's working so far. I'll just keep working at it until I can find a usable work-around!
