[LS] LastException: matchmaking_service failed

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.108.335.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? none
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? happens as soon as game is loaded
What happens when the bug occurs? Twisted Mexi and MCCC find this error with bug reporting features
What do you expect to see? I expect to see no error
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

    my game wouldnt respond. I would place a lot and it wouldnt stop building. Saving to gallery also took forever, the loading didnt stop and I had to restart the game multiple times. I ended up deleting my saves and replacing them with backups which worked. I do have mods but after the update I updated every single one and took out the ones that were broken. I did not have any issues until yesterday.

    I've been chasing this error since we got LS. New save. Old save. Mods. No mods. The only thing I can say about it that it's annoyingly inconsistent.

    I can play for a while (new save or old) and not see it. Save. Quit. Restart the game and there it is. I'm wondering if it has to do with an attempted connection to The Gallery or a Server when I start up.

    But, not clue. I've sort of given up playing for bit. Wears me out. When I've recovered I'll take another crack at it.

    Adding: Sometime I wonder about MCCC. But... shrug.

    Also having this error. Only ever get it with one specific sim - Carmen Ortega from the Lovestruck Dynamic Daters household, which is the household I've been playing recently. Hasn't had any impact on gameplay yet, but I get it worryingly often. Concerned it may corrupt my main save if I return to it ☹️

    • Last Module Called: matchmaking_service.py
    • Last Function Called: on_all_households_and_sim_infos_loaded
    • Error message: [manus] matchmaking_service failed to handle on_all_households_and_sim_infos_loaded due to exception (KeyError: 930014370902515046), CategoryID: matchmaking_service:1467

    ETA: I don't appear to get this LE when I am not playing the household that Carmen Ortega is in. Appears to be fine if she's on the lot, and when I'm interacting with her, but if I zone into a lot while she is playable (i.e. I'm in playing her household) and she is present, the LE triggers.

    ETA II: LE has moved to a new sim in a another household and triggers when he meets the aforementioned conditions.

    ETA III: I have no idea if this information is useful or not, but figured I'd just give a final update. I now get this LE regardless of whether impacted sims are playable, or even on the lot. It can infect them out of nowhere (eg. playing the Lopez household, editing them in cas, exiting cas, and suddenly Monica is infected forever now). It's only impacting adult and elder sims who have been played. Idk if that's helpful or worth knowing. No clue if the save is corrupted or not.

    I got the same error. This error came out of the blue. I think the file is/was corrupted. So I decided to create a new safe file with those sims. And the errore was gone.

    So this fixed it for me. :-) But it's a shame that patches cause errors in existing save games. That shouldn't happen.

    @tkassam I had the same error. I think the file is/was corrupted. So I decided to create a new safefile with my uploaded sims from my old safe. In the new safe the error gone! So this fixed it for me :-)

    This is what is showing if it helps, used BE to get this though I do get LEs without using that.

    Hi! So, I was having that issue too, tested vanilla and the error persisted, but then I realized that the only different thing I had altered that somehow could stay in after I removed my mods it's the relationship bits with MCCC. When I removed the added bits within the household that was causing the exception, the error stopped. If you had altered or added relationship bits with MCCC, try removing it and test it out.

    I guess this feature maybe is what is causing the error, because the relationship stays on even after you delete your mods. At least it was in my case.
