I'm having this issue in my game as well, here's a link to the save.
I'm playing with Esther Gomes and Zuleika Izadi, both in the Reaper career. I'm wondering if because the Grimbrosia is a proprietary item at work, if they are also not allowed to ingest homemade ambrosia. I have had one of them get Grimbrosia from the crypt but they also had no option to ingest that.
I'll (unfortunately) try letting Zuleika quit her job and seeing if she can then ingest it.
*SOLUTION FOUND* The ghost sims can not ingest it if in the reaper career. The moment she quit she was able to ingest it. Still seems like a bug that should be fixed, she shouldn't have to relinquish her level 8 job just to be alive again.
I was having the same issue. Quitting the Reaper career fixed it! My ghost was allowed to ingest the ambrosia. Luckily she was only level 1 in the career.
