Sims 3 was the best example of how to complete an holiday the right way. Halloween is mostly for children and teens so why is that children only get two costumes (not very good ones either) and even then one of them doesn't work! Then not only are they unable to go door to door themselves, which was already annoying, now they can't even participate in trick or treat at all by handing out candy! It's getting ridiculous. While there is no trick or treat interaction for kids, they can still complete the holiday tradition by using the give gift interaction that came with Season (the funny gift does not count though for whatever reason).

I am struggling since ages with the Halloween Pack. How can I send them for trick-or-treating as a tradition fulfillment. How do I do that? There is no explore menu either. I also tried sending Sims in costumes to other neighbours. They can only knock their doors and get into the house and that's all :/ This is so frustrating since I never can complete that fulfillment. Even the Adults can't do that since it pops up as a tradition fulfillment. I can't believe, that the devs are ignoring this since almost 4 years now! This is so annoying so please, let a dev take a look into this issue/bug!

The issue is that it's only available in the Digital Deluxe version. It shouldn't be there as an option if you don't have that though.

I have come to learn that they do not fix anything! I do not have kids anymore and do not use the trick or treat holiday anymore. Right now I am not even playing that much as I have another problem that makes gameplay work, not play. Every NPC that spawns on any lot randomly going into friends list without an introduction or seeing them as my sim was in her bottom basement when 5 more showed up randomly in my sim's friend list! All these issues go on for years with no fix or solution. My sim had over 200 friends before I started deleting sims from the game only to get more and more showing up constantly! I WILL NEVER BUY SIMS PRODUCTS OR EA PRODUCTS AGAIN!

Since seasons released I never understood why we had a trick or treat tradition but we couldn’t let kids go trick or treating. It can even be a rabbit hole event where they disappear off the lot for a few hours and return with some treats. I don’t know if it was a oversight but it just seems so simple so I never understood why we couldn’t have that option.
