Just want to note that while food doesn't transfer in rooms, it still seems to transfer in lots. I had my sim prepare a salad, grab a serving of it, and then canceled the eating interaction so that he would place his plate on the counter. Saved the room, and could see that the food wasn't even showing in the prep image, so wasn't surprised when it didn't transfer. Saved the lot, bulldozed, and replaced it, and the plate of salad was there. However, the original bowl of salad from which he served himself was gone. I don't know if this is the normal case when it comes to food transferring because I never tried to get it to transfer before. 😉

Haven't seen a newer version of this, so...Just pointing out that this is still an issue in the game. Ambrosia is the only food that can be saved...somehow.

I have found that I'm able to upload food if saving the room as a lot in the manner described on this thread (through rather a fidgety method): https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/16882490/#Comment_16882490I would love to know if anyone found a better or easier method using the lot save or if there is a way to save the room with food that I haven't found. I was assuming I was missing something (which I probably am), but when I read this thread I'm wondering if the issue is not just me and not changed/solved? I also have been experimenting with the gallery and can download rooms there with food, but have found I cannot re-upload them without losing the food either. Anyone else find any different results?

I put several plates of food in a room and when I upload the room to the gallery or I keep it in my library the meals disappear

There are countless of rooms on the Gallery with food that other people have shared though? I don’t think it’s by design... I, myself, have shared a room full of ice-cream in the past.

There's been reports since 2016 as you can see from the posts I moved into this.

Maybe there's more factors to it.

I have only been encountering this issue since the update when Love Struck came out. I previously saved rooms with food often, especially good for bakeries etc.
