Thanks all! It was great fun! I love building challenges like these and seeing what everyone comes up with!
@Cbear13 Thanks for the feedback- I never checked the pirate ship for the sea monster interaction- duh! I had originally had the stone slabs there for something that didn't work but erased them and they don't show up in my test file save when I moved the ship to check BUT you still can't play sea monster despite not being visable in that save AND they do show up in my permanent file when I placed the building there when I moved the ship- smh. Same with the fridge- I moved the trash can from the end of the counter for something and then forgot to put it back-ha!
On the mailbox I placed it out back to support my theory of this orphanage where the kids and group parent all enter from that side through the more traditional two car garage/ front porch set up that is seen there- hence the mailbox was placed where it would be for a traditional home, which that side was intended to mimic in order to provide a sense of belonging and place to the sim kids. The front institutional side is strictly for visitors. For the same reason I left the fence off the back- I figured it was so great living there and so comfortable a feeling the kids would NEVER WANT TO LEAVE (ha ha ha!) and I have it placed up against a creek and park area in Willow Creek which looked so pleasant I hated to cover it up. I might have been over thinking it a bit- LOL!
Working on the castle for my royal family now!
