So @NRowe started a discussion about exploring all of the game play in the Sims. @elanorbreton suggested going in alphabetical order and this gave me an idea for a legacy challenge. What if each gener...
This version of the challenge has only been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it's difficult to update posts that were transferred from the old forums, I set up a new thread here. As of right now, the new version of the challenge includes game play from Lovestruck.
So Bianca still has quite a bit left on her to do list: master Baking, finish the Beach Life and Big Happy Family aspirations, reach the top of the Business career, find all of the Buried treasure, hire a Butler, have a Birthday party, and own a Buffet table, a Bonfire and a Bubble blower.
C gen is in the picture now, so I'm going to list her objectives that apply during her early years: Infant- Calm or Cautious trait Toddler- Charmer or Clingy trait, Communication Skill Child- Creativity Skill Teen-Compassionate trait, Uncontrolled Emotions trait Final Traits- Pick Three: Cheerful, Childish, Clumsy, Creative Likes-Comedy, Cooking, Carnaval Beats, Classical, Contemporary, Cosmolux, Country fashion Teen+ Skills- Charisma, Comedy, Cooking Teen+ Aspirations-Cure Seeker Collections-Crystals, City Posters Aspiration Rewards-Confident Potion, Cold Acclimation, Creative Visionary, Carefree, Connections.
Celia Letterman is a Calm infant, but Duane and Bianca still feel that they could use some extra help, so they hire Wray the Butler. Soon Celia and Wray are close friends. They have one more addition to the household: a new Bubalus named Beauregard. Celia's too young to notice him, but Cedric is delighted.
Bianca has been working hard in the Business career and is promoted to Assistant Manager. She's exhausted, but she decides to go with Duane to the beach anyway. She ends up falling asleep on a lounge chair, the final objective in the Beach Life aspiration. This means that she now has the Laid-Back trait, and will never become tense again.
Duane has the Party Animal aspiration now, and he and Bianca decide to build a party pavilion in the back yard. It comes complete with a Buffet table and a Bubble Blower. I was a little afraid that guests would be all over the house and not congregate in the pavilion, but as long as I put Bianca's baked goods on the buffet table, that's where the guests like to stay.
Celia ages up to be a Clingy toddler. She wants to party with the family. She masters the Communication skill, partly with her parents help, partly with the help of her toy dinosaur.
When Celia ages up to child, she learns that she loves making people laugh with Comedy antics. She also learns that she loves Carnaval Beats music to wind up and Classical music to wind down. Of course, I don't actually let her wind down with Classical music, because that would improve her emotional control. Not this generation. I do let her build her empathy by playing with her Doctor playset.
Celia's Creative trait is an advantage in mastering the Creativity skill. She eagerly shows off her drawings to Kalani's daughters, Noura and Dina, when they come to stay for the weekend. Bianca becomes particularly close to Geeky Dina, who reminds Bianca of herself as a child.
Bianca's birthday finally comes and they have a big party with family and friends. Duane shows off his fire dance moves when everyone gathers around the backyard Bonfire.
Celia's birthday isn't far behind. Her parents let her redecorate her bedroom in her preferred styles, Contemporary and Cosmolux. Because she now has the Childish trait, she makes sure to put a contemporary dollhouse in there as well. She has discovered that she loves cooking and takes every opportunity to develop her skills.
Bianca is promoted to Angel Investor, top of the Business career-investor branch, and is rewarded with a brand new desk. Meanwhile, Celia is starting to think of a future career. She wants to take the tech world by storm and become a Computer Whiz. Maintaining focus for two straight hours of playing The Sims helps her achieve one of the Computer Whiz objectives, giving her enough aspiration points to purchase the Connections trait. This will allow her to start careers at level four.
Kalani invites Bianca over to meet her fourth child, named Elise after Anelise. This completes the final objective in Bianca's Big Happy Family aspiration. From now on, Bianca's children will gain skills much faster by simply being around her. In my opinion, this is one of the most useful aspiration rewards in the game. We're finished with aspirations for Bianca, but Celia's just getting started. A visit to the Flea Market sparks Celia's interest in City Living.
While looking up references for a class project at Moonwood Library, Celia strikes up a conversation with the librarian. She mentions her interest in tech and he tells her he knows a werewolf named Rory Oaklaw who works as a programmer. Celia visits the Wildfang trailer and introduces herself. She's fascinated by the lifestyle and asks Rory to turn her into werewolf.
She quickly becomes disenchanted. There are the violent rampages for one. Then there are the temperaments. The wolf brain temperament means that she struggles with school work and programming. The fresh meat temperament means that she has to live on raw meat. Now, in Bedrock Strait, they practically have a river in their back yard, so she has no difficulty acquiring fresh fish. It's still hard for her given how much she loves cooking, not to mention her mother makes the world's best chocolate souffle. The only benefit is that her new scavenger ability has led to an interest in collecting beautiful crystals.
She decides she's had enough and wants to be a Cure Seeker. Her scavenger ability allows her to locate the Diary of Greggorius Lunvik. She reads it feverishly, enduring the stress that it puts on her wolf brain, until she finds the recipe for Wolf-Be-Gone. She mixes the cocktail, excited to return to her normal self and complete the Cure Seeker aspiration.
New Skill Day comes around and both Bianca and Celia take advantage. Bianca masters the baking skill with one final exotic fruit pie, and Celia masters the cooking skill by preparing Cioppino for the family.
Celia may no longer be a werewolf, but she still struggles to control her emotions. When visiting friends, she sometimes has to escape to a bathroom to have a temper tantrum. When she ages up to young adult, she receives the Cheerful, Compassionate and Uncontrolled Emotions traits. She's ready to move to the city and start her career as a tech guru.
