So @NRowe started a discussion about exploring all of the game play in the Sims. @elanorbreton suggested going in alphabetical order and this gave me an idea for a legacy challenge. What if each gener...
This version of the challenge has only been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it's difficult to update posts that were transferred from the old forums, I set up a new thread here. As of right now, the new version of the challenge includes game play from Lovestruck.
Hayato still has some objectives left: Visit a Hospital and the Hottest Spot in Town, celebrate every Holiday, throw a House Party, own a Hotpot and die of Hysteria.
Here are Innes’ remaining objectives for his early years:
Toddler-Imagination Skill, Independent or Inquisitive Trait
The house in Rider’s Glen can’t accommodate more than one child, so Hayato and Akshara look around for something else. As it turns out, a man named Max Villareal is trying to sell his estate on Crumbling Isle so that he can buy a nectary in Rider’s Glen and move there with his son. Hayato jumps at the offer, and the family is off to Windenberg.
Hayato treats the welcome wagon to a meal with his new Hotpot.
As a toddler, Innes is Independent and likes to make messes. This builds his Imagination, but lowers his responsibility.
Innes masters Imagination skill.
Hayato takes the family on vacation to Granite Falls for summer holiday. This is the final Holiday in the annual rotation. In the evening, Hayato and Akshara enjoy some alone time by the campfire, or at least they try to.
Hector's son Hyperion is a third wheel.
When Innes ages up, he develops the Child of the Islands Trait. He learns that he likes Island music, which gives him a playful moodlet. He hates the color Red. Since red is arguably the boldest color, I’m interpreting this to mean that he likes neutral tones.
Innes likes Island music, but hates Retro, Romance and Ranch.
Hayato and Akshara are having another baby. They make their big announcement at a House party with friends and family. In due time, Innes takes Akshara to the hospital for the delivery. They name their new baby Ivan.
When Innes ages up to teen, he realizes he likes Island and Industrial décor, so he redecorates his bedroom in a style that fuses the two. He now has a computer desk in his room, where he can practice his video gaming. He hopes to be an internet personality someday, so he wants to build his skills.
I like Innes' Tropic Steampunk aesthetic better than his father's Bougie Supreme.
Ivan has grown into an Inquisitive toddler, which means he develops thinking skills faster. Meanwhile, Innes is working on the early levels of the Chief of Mischief aspiration. This is partly because the mischief skill will be useful for his future career, and partly because the Chief of Mischief objectives help him reduce his empathy. Having a successful Winterfest gives him enough aspiration points to purchase the Incredibly Friendly trait.
Pranking Atharv gives Innes enough aspiration points to purchase the Iceproof trait, useful in winter.
Another Granite Falls vacation leads Innes to discover that there different types of Insects there.
Innes wants to collect all of the Insects one day.
Innes is becoming more and more Insensitive and Irresponsible. Mocking Temperance the ghost puts him in range for the Insensitive trait and skipping school repeatedly puts him in range for the Irresponsible trait.
Is this a smart idea? While skipping school for Geekcon, Innes discovers he dislikes Rocket Science.
Hayato takes the family to a café that is now the Hottest Spot in Town. Unfortunately, Hayato doesn’t live to see Innes grow up. He becomes excessively playful under the influence of a playful ghost, and dies of Hysteria.
Innes takes a picture with famous writer Masami Murakami at the cafe.
