- It bothers me a little, but I am still looking forward to TS4. Besides they made up for it with being able to keep in touch with sims in other hoods.
- I loved the open world because you don't have to stick with lots only. And also I'm not against rabbit holes that much, it would be too hard to command all sims. But if sims do their work autonomously and we can see their career building's inside, that would be the best for me.
- I Love the idea of no open world,I have an older computer with on board graphics so at least I know my computer can handle Sims 4.I Love Sims 3 but I can't play any of the expansion or store worlds without lagging, freezing,or crashing, and that is no fun at all especially when you lose a lot of progress.I have to download small worlds or completely empty the large worlds just to be able to play Sims 3,Sims 4 has auto save which I think is an Awesome feature!!!
- No open world is alright, gives my PC a break. Moving to places now will take far less time thankfully, I have heard.
- I really think it will improve the performance of the game in general. I'm actually looking forward to it. One small loading screen isn't going to kill anybody.
In the end, you'll get a better game experience because of those loading screens. I'm kinda growing tired of white textures while The Sims 3 loads and I don't like rabbit holes :D Can't wait for september! - For some reason I can't like comments. I keep getting an error but I have read all the comments. :) Sorry for the late replies. I been super busy this week. Sadly this my first time being on a computer in 3 days. lol I'm glad i'm not the only one though. We have 2 more weeks and I getting pretty excited. :)
- I'm glad it's gone!! My sisters plays on my computer, so in ts3 if she played with her family, my family were getting old.. I hope you understad my poor english! Im Argentinian :)

But yeah Rabbit holes really annoyed me in TS3, not only was it boring staring at a building but I found if building my own world (I used CAW a lot), the buildings would never fit with what I wanted in my world. Hopefully we will get an EP where we can build our own stuff it seems more likely with the districts they've created with TS4. IT's almost like going back to TS1!!
It's interesting you should mention the regression towards Sims style of playing. That complaint is common amongst players who realize, exactly, how much has been removed from the game starting with pools to story progression. I understand the create-a-style option created a significant amount of lag, especially when cc, expansion packs and stuff packs come into play. However, that was one the greatest ideas for this franchise since it's debut. In light of all that has been removed, I'm sad to say this is one Sims release I won't be picking up until much later depending on what is added to the game.
The lack of the open world aspect really bugs me. For me, that feature along side story progression and others made the game more realistic and enjoyable. The removal of automobiles really drove the disappointment home, for me. The implementation of cars was the best thing since Sims 2 and now, we won't have that either. I know some didn't like the toddler life stage, but that was just another element that made the game more realistic and now, that is gone, too. :\ I'll just wait and see what updates and expansion packs will be offered before I drop 40.00 on this release. Until then, I'll be rocking with my PS4 and reading the forums for updates. :) - To me it's not a big deal only because this means there will be more sims on public lots, and it will allow for smoother gameplay. In the sims 2 there were always a ton of sims on each public lot. In the sims 3 there were barely any. Since my computer has an SSD, I think loading screen times will be really fast.
- To be honest, I dont actually mind having no open world. But i am interested in knowing what more we will have in the world besides gym's, cafe's and parks.
